Introduction to role

Are you ready to make a difference in the world of data management? As an Associate, you'll be at the heart of transaction processing activities, ensuring detailed operations for both internal and external customers. Reporting directly to the Master Data Team Lead in Chennai, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining quality and accuracy within agreed key performance indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Your expertise will drive operational improvement initiatives and support day-to-day master data activities according to well-defined guidelines. Accountabilities

In this multifaceted role, you'll support the Team Manager in optimizing the performance of the Data Management Team across vendor, customer, and finance master data areas. You'll supervise daily service delivery, handle priorities, and maintain service levels according to SLAs. When unusual circumstances arise, you'll advance them for special handling. Your keen eye for detail will help review KPI metrics and provide informative commentaries and root cause analysis for discussions with the Global Data Manager. You'll take the lead in resolving operational matters and support your team in improving efficiency.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Degree in Business, Finance or any related.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Account Payables / Vendor, Customer and Finance Master Data maintenance or proven understanding of Master Data.
  • Proven SAP, Oracle or other ERP system understanding and data analysis knowledge.
  • Proficient in the use of SAP system. Understanding SAP dictionaries especially: Vendors, Customers and Bank branches, Chart of accounts, Cost Elements and Cost Objects.
  • Good communication skill and able to communicate effectively in English.
  • Knowledge in visual basic and macros is an added advantage.
  • Where required, proficiency in a particular foreign language.

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Experience in Vendor Master Data/ Customer Master Data/ Finance Master Data
  • Proven SAP, Oracle or other ERP system understanding and data analysis knowledge.
